Team Lead

Role Description

An integral part of project execution, a Team Lead at Synic oversees a one-to-two-pizza software engineering team. Ensuring the quality and efficiency of output, they guide their team to success in rendering a specific set of capabilities, or delivering a software product. The Team Lead is intuitively knowledgeable; as a result of years of experience as a software developer, they are able to mentor team members and mature projects. They set the tone for the work culture and environment as collaborative, growth-oriented and excellence-driven.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a development team of 3 - 8 people on diverse software initiatives
• Maintain responsibility for quality, impact and timeliness of team deliverables
• Mentor Software Engineers to improve their approach, communication and execution of tasks
• Design and write code
• Support your team in smart, self-responsible and innovative ways, and represent them in meetings
• Reinforce a work environment of openness and collaboration

Experience & Skills

• 1+ years in a leadership or Team Lead role
• 4+ years experience as a software developer
• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in relevant field
• Demonstrable experience using the Agile framework
• Languages: C#, Java, PHP, Python
• Front-end Languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
• Front-end Frameworks: Angularjs, Reactjs, Bootstrap
• Frameworks: .NET Core, .NET 4.7, Entity Framework
